It’s the night before the 2008 General Presidential Elections and I need to be awake in 5 hours! Took tomorrow off so I can be a poll worker
It’s something I used to do in college, and it’s just fun to do. It’s really fascinating how normal citizens can be part of the election process and not some secret mysterious thing completely controlled by the government. The rest of you will probably find out the results as news trickles in before I do. If you’re a citizen and allowed to, get out there and vote. Be informed and exercise your right! Government of the people, by the people, and for the people.
In other news, I have reclaimed my bed. I will show you a picture of a toy duck I saw at the local Japanese store to celebrate this event.
Thought about something a co-worker mentioned about me… he’s a surprisingly fantastic judge of character/personality. Pretty on-the-mark in the short amount of time I’ve known him. Tempted to call him sempai :3
In my case, he said I have a hero complex XD And in retrospect… he’s right! Whether it be in role-play or real life… that is a recurring theme. Constantly feeling the need to prove myself as well as put out random emergencies. I could go on for pages and pages of why and how that came to be.
But rather than that, I need to go to bed, so I will now test out the image upload function!
We went to the Los Angeles Farmer’s Market. It is an outdoor market full of delicious win. Several dozen stalls of food. Food. And More Food. And other stuff of course, but a good chunk of it is food. I had a delicious chopped beef sandwich with lemonade, the drink of champions.
And next to the Farmer’s Market is… The Grove! I’ve never been here before… it’s another outdoor mall full of upper-scale shops. The fountains remind me of Disneyland. It started raining really hard a few minutes after this photo was taken.
I’m writing this from the WordPress app for iPhone and seeing if it really works!
Welcome to my new website!
I’m still adding and modifying things. I’m experimenting with WordPress as a homepage…
